Bogus.

We want you to see that there is something bigger to your life than WHAT YOU WANT.
The key is to live FOR GOD and not YOURSELF.
IT IS MAKING EVERY MOMENT GOD TIME.
Not just Sunday morning. Not just before meals. All the time.
What does it actually mean to live for God?

Unfortunately, we have fallen into a sticky trap. We have come to believe that living for God is in avoiding the really big sins, doing the expected (read your bible and going to church), and hiding our problems. We have bought the lie that everything exists for “me”. We live for ourselves, but try to make it look like we aren’t. This has distorted our attempt to live for God. Instead we do “Christian” things when people are looking. We do “Christian” things when we get something back. We do “Christian” things that will make people happy.

This is bogus. And if we live like this our relationship with God is also bogus.

So what does it mean to live for God?
First, you must love God with all you’ve got. Your energy, your emotion, your time, your mind, and everything else. Everything you have, everything you are, and everything you experience is to help you know and love God.

And like a bucket under the faucet with the water running, our love for God should overflow into everything we do. That means we need to love everyone around us as we would want to be loved. We must care about others more than we care about ourself.

What matters to God must matter to us.

“What matters to God?” you ask. Three things:
1. To Know and Love Him: read Matthew 22:37-38
2. Your character and attitude: read Galatians 5:19-23
3. Love Others; read Philippians 2:3.

What matters to God must matter to us.
We must love God and love others.
But we can only love when we know we are loved.
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT GOD LOVES YOU?

How do we do that?
What does it actually mean to live for GOD and not for YOURSELF.
